【摘要】:Allmaterialsandproductscoveredbythesetestmethodsmustwithstandtensileforcesforadequateperformanceincertainapplications.Thesetestmethodsallowforthemeasurementofsuchtensileproperties.However,tensilepropertiesalonemaynotdirectlyrelatetothetotalenduseperformanceoftheproductbecauseofthewiderangeofpotentialperformancerequirementsinactualuse.Tensilepropertiesdependbothonthematerialandtheconditionsoftest(extensionrate,temperature,humidity,specimengeometry,pretestconditioning,etc.);thereforematerialsshouldbecomparedonlywhentestedunderthesameconditions.Temperatureandrateofextensionmayhavesubstantialeffectsontensilepropertiesandthereforeshouldbecontrolled.Theseeffectswillvarydependingonthetypeofmaterialbeingtested.Tensilesetrepresentsresidualdeformationwhichispartlypermanentandpartlyrecoverableafterstretchingandretraction.Forthisreason,theperiodsofextensionandrecovery(andotherconditionsoftest)mustbecontrolledtoobtaincomparableresults.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresusedtoevaluatethetensile(tension)propertiesofvulcanizedthermosetrubbersandthermoplasticelastomers.Thesemethodsarenotapplicabletoeboniteandsimilarhard,lowelongationmaterials.Themethodsappearasfollows:TestMethodA-DumbbellandStraightSectionSpecimensTestMethodB-CutRingSpecimensNote1Thesetwodifferentmethodsdonotproduceidenticalresults.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIornon-SIunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasnormativeforthisstandard.Thevaluesineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;thereforeeachsystemmustbeusedindependently,withoutcombiningvalues.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Allmaterialsandproductscoveredbythesetestmethodsmustwithstandtensileforcesforadequateperformanceincertainapplications.Thesetestmethodsallowforthemeasurementofsuchtensileproperties.However,tensilepropertiesalonemaynotdirectlyrelatetothetotalenduseperformanceoftheproductbecauseofthewiderangeofpotentialperformancerequirementsinactualuse.Tensilepropertiesdependbothonthematerialandtheconditionsoftest(extensionrate,temperature,humidity,specimengeometry,pretestconditioning,etc.);thereforematerialsshouldbecomparedonlywhentestedunderthesameconditions.Temperatureandrateofextensionmayhavesubstantialeffectsontensilepropertiesandthereforeshouldbecontrolled.Theseeffectswillvarydependingonthetypeofmaterialbeingtested.Tensilesetrepresentsresidualdeformationwhichispartlypermanentandpartlyrecoverableafterstretchingandretraction.Forthisreason,theperiodsofextensionandrecovery(andotherconditionsoftest)mustbecontrolledtoobtaincomparableresults.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresusedtoevaluatethetensile(tension)propertiesofvulcanizedthermosetrubbersandthermoplasticelastomers.Thesemethodsarenotapplicabletoeboniteandsimilarhard,lowelongationmaterials.Themethodsappearasfollows:TestMethodA-DumbbellandStraightSectionSpecimensTestMethodB-CutRingSpecimensNote1Thesetwodifferentmethodsdonotproduceidenticalresults.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIornon-SIunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasnormativeforthisstandard.Thevaluesineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;thereforeeachsystemmustbeusedindependently,withoutcombiningvalues.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
