【摘要】:TheparametersobtainedfromMethodsAandBareintermsofundrainedtotalstress(asalreadymentionedin1.1).However,therearesomecaseswhereeithertherocktypeortheloadingconditionoftheproblemunderconsiderationwillrequiretheeffectivestressordrainedparametersbedetermined.Uniaxialcompressivestrength(MethodC)ofrockisusedinmanydesignformulasandissometimesusedasanindexpropertytoselecttheappropriateexcavationtechnique.Deformationandstrengthofrockareknowntobefunctionsofconfiningpressure.Thetriaxialcompressiontest(MethodA)iscommonlyusedtosimulatethestressconditionsunderwhichmostundergroundrockmassesexist.Theelasticconstants(MethodsBandD)areusedtocalculatethestressanddeformationinrockstructures.Thedeformationandstrengthpropertiesofrockcoresmeasuredinthelaboratoryusuallydonotaccuratelyreflectlarge-scaleinsitupropertiesbecausethelatterarestronglyinfluencedbyjoints,faults,inhomogeneities,weaknessplanes,andotherfactors.Therefore,laboratoryvaluesforintactspecimensmustbeemployedwithproperjudgmentinengineeringapplications.Note28212;Notwithstandingthestatementsonprecisionandbiascontainedinthistestmethod;themeasuresofprecisionofthesetestmethodsaredependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingthem,andonthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting.UsersofthistestmethodarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfassurereliabletesting.Reliabletestingdependsonmanyfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansforevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofthestrengthofintactrockcorespecimensinuniaxialandtriaxialcompression.Thetestsprovidedataindeterminingthestrengthofrock,namely:theuniaxialstrength,shearstrengthsatdifferentpressuresanddifferentelevatedtemperatures,angleofinternalfriction,(angleofshearingresistance),andcohesionintercept.Thetestmethodsspecifytheapparatus,instrumentation,andproceduresfordeterminingthestress-axialstrainandthestress-lateralstraincurves,aswellasYoung''smodulus,E,andPoisson''sratio,x03C5;.Itshouldbeobservedthatthesemethodsmakenoprovisionforporepressuremeasurementsandspecimensareundrained(platensarenotvented).Thusthestrengthvaluesdeterminedareintermsoftotalstress,thatis,arenotcorrectedforporepressures.Thesetestmethodsdonotincludetheproceduresnecessarytoobtainastress-straincurvebeyondtheultimatestrength.1.2ThisstandardreplacesandcombinesthefollowingStandardTestMethods:D2664TriaxialCompressiveStrengthofUndrainedRockCoreSpecimensWithoutPorePressureMeasurements;D5407ElasticModuliofUndrainedRockCoreSpecimensinTriaxialCompressionWithoutPorePressureMeasurements;D2938UnconfinedCompressiveStrengthofIntactRockCoreSpecimens;andD3148ElasticModuliofIntactRockCoreSpecimensinUniaxialCompression.TheoriginalfourstandardsarenowreferredtoasMethodsinthisstandard.1.2.1MethodA:TriaxialCompressiveStrengthofUndrainedRockCoreSpecimensWithoutPorePressureMeasurements.1.2.2MethodB:ElasticModuliofUndrainedRockCoreSpeci......
